Pest Control Services Built on Inspection

How Impestable Services Work

At Impestable, services aren’t selected from a menu before we ever see your home. Every recommendation we make is built on a thorough inspection and a clear understanding of what’s actually happening.

Pest problems can look similar on the surface while having very different causes. That’s why our process follows a consistent method: inspect first, identify the issue, explain what we’re seeing, and then recommend treatment only if it’s warranted.

The services below are tools we use after that process—not assumptions we apply upfront.

Step 1: Inspect

The Inspection

Every service begins with a thorough inspection of the areas involved. This includes identifying entry points, harborage areas, conducive conditions, and signs of activity. The goal is not just to confirm that pests are present, but to understand why they’re there.

Step 2: Identify

Identification

Once pest activity is found, we focus on identifying the underlying cause—whether it’s environmental, structural, seasonal, or behavioral. Treating pests without understanding the cause often leads to recurring problems and unnecessary applications.

Step 3: Explain

Communication

After identifying what's going on, we explain what we’ve found in plain language. We’ll walk through your options, what each approach addresses, and whether or not treatment is necessary.

Step 4: Treat with Purpose

Treatment

When treatment is appropriate, we use targeted applications designed to address the specific issue identified during the inspection. Our focus is effectiveness and responsibility—treating what needs treatment and avoiding what doesn’t.

Which Service Is Right For You?

Since every home is different, services may look different from one situation to the next. Some problems can be resolved with a one-time treatment, while others benefit from ongoing service due to seasonal or structural factors. The list below is not exhaustive, but does reflect some of the most common pests identified during the inspection process.

Ants

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Ants commonly enter homes in search of food and moisture, especially during seasonal changes. Each species behaves differently, so proper identification is key to effective control.

Spiders

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Most spiders are harmless, but their presence often indicates other insect activity. Reducing spiders typically means addressing the conditions that attract their prey.

Mosquitoes

(An Impestable Mosquito & Impestable Premium Pest)

Mosquitoes breed in standing water and are active during warm months. Effective control involves moisture control, not just reduction of adult mosquito populations.

Drain Flies

(An Impestable Fly & Impestable Premium Pest)

Drain flies breed in organic buildup inside plumbing and drains. Their presence usually indicates a moisture or sanitation issue.

Fleas

(An Impestable Fabric & Carpet Pest)

Fleas are most often introduced by pets but may persist in carpeted areas, and shaded outdoor areas. Even homes without pets can experience problems due to wildlife activity nearby.

Cockroaches

(An Impestable Roach Pest)

German cockroaches are commonly found in kitchens, bathrooms, and around sources of food and moisture. They reproduce quickly, so treatment timing is critical.

Centipedes & Millipedes

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Centipedes and millipedes commonly found in basements, crawlspaces, and bathrooms. Their presence often points to excess moisture near home foundations.

Wasps & Hornets

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Stinging insects, including wasps, hornets, and yellowjackets commonly nest on structures, in trees, or underground during warmer months. Some are more aggressive than others, requiring proper identification.

Snails & Slugs

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Snails and slugs thrive in moist, shaded environments and may cause garden and landscape damage. Effective control involves addressing damp conditions.

Mice

(An Impestable Rodent or Impestable Premium Pest)

Mice often enter homes seeking warmth, food, and shelter, especially in fall and winter. Even small openings can allow access, and activity is often hidden behind walls or in attics.

Rats

(An Impestable Rodent or Impestable Premium Pest)

Rats are larger than mice cause structural damage and contaminate food sources. Proper control requires identifying entry points, harborage areas, and food sources around the property.

Voles

(An Impestable Rodent or Impestable Premium Pest)

Voles are small rodents that damage lawns and landscaping through shallow tunnels and root feeding. Their activity is often mistaken for mole damage.

Mud Daubers

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Mud daubers are solitary wasps that build mud nests on buildings and other structures. While generally non-aggressive, their nests can be unsightly.

Box Elder Bugs

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Box elder bugs are seasonal invaders that often gather on sunny exterior walls before entering homes. They do not cause damage but can become a significant nuisance.

Western Cherry Fruit Fly

(An Impestable Orchard Pest)

Western Cherry Fruit Fly (Rhagoletis indifferens) lays eggs inside cherries, causing fruit to become wormy and unusable. Effective control requires precise timing during a narrow activity window.

Stink Bugs

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Stink bugs are seasonal invaders that seek shelter indoors during cooler months. They are harmless but can become a nuisance and produce an odor when crushed.

Clover Mites

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Clover mites are tiny red mites often seen crawling around windows, especially during cooler spring and fall weather. They do not bite but may become a nuisance.

Earwigs

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Earwigs are commonly found near foundations, mulch, leaf litter, and other damp areas. While they may look concerning, they are generally harmless, they are often a nuisance.

Crickets

(A Generally Impestable & Impestable Premium Pest)

Crickets often enter homes during late summer and fall while seeking warmth and shelter. Their chirping and nighttime activity can quickly become disruptive indoors.

Carpet Beetles

(An Impestable Fabric & Carpet Pest)

Carpet beetles are small, often overlooked pests that feed on natural fibers like wool, carpet backing, hair and dander, clothing, and stored items. Recurring sightings can indicate hidden larval activity in carpeted areas.

Codling Moths

(An Impestable Orchard Pest)

Codling moths are common orchard pests that infest apples, pears, and other fruit trees by laying eggs that develop into fruit-boring larvae. Effective control depends heavily on proper identification and timing.

Impestable Service Packages

The Impestable Inspection

The Impestable Inspection is an inspection-forward pest control visit designed to find the why behind the pest activity—not just spray and leave. We identify entry points, moisture/food sources, harborage areas, and pest pressure around the home, then build a clear action plan for Idaho-specific pests. Ideal for new customers, persistent issues, “mystery bugs,” or anyone who wants a real diagnosis before treatment.

Impestable Proofing

(Pest-Proofing / Exclusion)

Impestable Proofing is our exclusion service that focuses on stopping pests at the source by reducing access and harborage. We inspect and address common entry points (gaps, cracks, penetrations, door thresholds, and other vulnerable areas), then perform targeted proofing steps to prevent recurring infestations. Best for rodents, ants, spiders, occasional invaders, and homes that want long-term prevention—not just repeat treatments.

Generally Impestable

(Inspection + Quarterly General Pest Control)

Generally Impestable is our core quarterly pest control service for Boise-area homes—built around a thorough inspection plus proactive prevention. Each visit includes a targeted treatment plan for common Idaho pests and seasonal pressure (ants, spiders, wasps, earwigs, and more), with a focus on exterior-first control and precise interior treatment only when needed. Great for families who want dependable protection and fewer surprises year-round.

Impestable Premium

(Inspection + Proofing + Quarterly General Pest Control + Add-On)

Impestable Premium is the “best of Impestable” bundle: a complete inspection, pest-proofing/exclusion, plus an added specialty service tailored to your property—such as rodent, mosquito, or another high-pressure pest. This is for customers who want the most thorough prevention approach: find the cause, reduce access, and add the right coverage for your highest-risk pest category. Ideal for homes with heavy pest pressure, or multiple pest types.

Impestable Rodent

(Interior or Exterior Rodent Control)

Impestable Rodent is rodent control built around inspection, prevention, and measurable control. It includes:

Interior Rodent Coverage: proofing/exclusion plus targeted baiting and/or trapping strategies against mice and/or rats.

Or,

Exterior Rodent Coverage: focused control for voles, mice, and/or rats around the property and perimeter to reduce exterior pressure.

Impestable Mosquito

Our Mosquito service reduces mosquito activity where people actually spend time—patios, porches, play areas, and shaded resting zones. We inspect for breeding and harborage conditions, then apply targeted control to reduce bites and make outdoor areas more usable during mosquito season. Ideal for families, backyard gatherings, and properties with heavy shade or nearby water sources.

Impestable Roach

(German Cockroach Control)

German Roach problems require precision and a plan—because quick “spray-and-pray” approaches often make things worse. Our German Roach service starts with a detailed inspection to identify hotspots, harborage, and contributing conditions, then uses a focused strategy designed for kitchens, bathrooms, and appliance voids. Best for active infestations, recurring sightings, or anyone who wants a serious, structured approach to German roach control.

Impestable Fabric & Carpet

(Carpet Beetle or Flea Control)

Our Flea & Carpet Beetle services are designed to break the pest life cycle—not just knock down what you can see. Although there are differences, the treatment plan for both pests is essentially the same, since life cycles, behavior and treatment susceptibilities are markedly similar. It involves a combined effort of sanitation practices and targeted treatments.

Impestable Orchard

(Worm Control in Residential Fruit Trees, for Western Cherry Fruit Fly, Codling Moth & Apple Maggot)

Proper worm control in fruit trees is timing-sensitive and works best when it’s inspection-led and monitoring-driven. Our service focuses on confirming pest pressure, identifying the right treatment window, and applying targeted control during the critical period—so you’re not spraying at the wrong time and hoping for the best. Ideal for homeowners who want real efficacy for backyard cherry trees and want a plan that matches local pest pressure and fruit development timing.

Impestable Fly

(House, Fruit, and Drain Fly Control)

Impestable Fly is a targeted service for persistent fly problems, including house flies, fruit flies, and drain flies. Effective fly control starts with inspection—because flies are almost always tied to a specific breeding source such as drains, organic buildup, moisture issues, or exterior pressure points. We identify the source first, then apply focused treatment and prevention steps to break the life cycle and reduce ongoing activity.
